Turn signals don't flash
« on: May 31, 2010, 02:35:59 PM »
Hey all,

While I'm waiting for my engine to be done next week I'm getting everything ready for its installation. (This is an 87 2ME I just got, so don't know much about its history). I put in a new battery yesterday and so far all the electrics look good except the turn signals.

The front ones have been removed, and the rear ones don't flash. They just come on and stay on.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,

It is normal because turn signal electronics is based on resistor-capacitor system so the electronic load need to be correct. On each side, you need 2x21w +1x5w (front and read bulbs + dashboard indicator).

So plug the front indicator and they will flush.
