Throttle Sleeve
« on: June 30, 2010, 10:45:26 PM »
Yamaha want a bloody fortune for a new throttle sleeve.  Given to understand that it is the same as 3MA, FZR750/1000 and RD5 part.  Would like to know of a cheap alternative that fits the standard housing.  Running TM34's and so the turn is a bit over 1/4.  Would be OK to have a slightly larger pulley.  Thanks - Jim

On the strength of a crappy picture and a tech that seemed confused by a vernier, I ordered Motion Pro's part number - 01-0094.  Listed as used on various Yam dirtbikes and R1's from '98 to '10 it is a near perfect replacement and $10US.  Drum is no larger than the 2MA's so's pulling open the 34's on my bike still takes more than a quarter turn .... but I have a plan.
