Mirrors coming of bikes is a very common problem, often caused by dropping the buggers :D

Hi All,
I'm Nick from the UK, presently living in Dubai,
I have a '87 2ma which I have had since 1994, presently about 90% rebuilt as standard, I also have a 1990 ExUp, a 2004 KTM LC4 Supermoto, and a 1973 Lambretta Sx200 , about 60% rebuilt.
Unfortunately I don't ride over here, as it is almost suicidal to ride on the roads with the car drivers, but am looking forward to when i eventually return home to having all the above back on the road.
Cheers all,
Nick.

Hi everyone,
Bought a tzr2501kt, Currently ripped apart in my garage. Waiting on parts, should arrive monday. (Pistons, rings, gasket set, seals, small end bearings etc..). Hopefully get it put back together before too long and be able to take my first ride on it. Thankfully I have a cbr600rr to get me by until then. This site has been a great help for me so far. Thanks! and my name is Richard from Nova Scotia, Canada.

My frame number is 1kt-035921 and the certificate of registration says it is a 1986 model,so Toyotanut's bike,1kt-015278 was built before mine which will mean that it is a 1985 model and Yamaha built over 20,000 bikes in the first year of production.

Mine didn't come fitted with a white rev counter but has had one for a while now,as you know mouse99.

Take a look at this on ebay,a Marlboro 2ma with a white rev counter and 1kt idiot light cover, not sure if the paint is genuine but my white dial rev counter came off a breaking for spares Marlboro 1kt with kmh clock.

Yeah i saw that one, the paint is not right for a real marlboro one plus marlboro colours only came on 1KT's, probably converted.
I did see other real marlboro one's on yahoo, but they didn't have the white rev counter.

Strange thing is that there's only one p/n for the rev counter in the 1KT/2AW parts list, and that's should be for the black one....so what's the p/n for a white one?

Is there a p/n on the rev counter itself somewhere?

Im carl, im racing in YPMs this year on a 1KT with a 2MA engine.
I have the 1KT engine too, the 2MA is tuned by graham file and so much more managable, yet just as quick.
This is my first 2-stroke too

Hi I'm Lawrence from Hitchin down in Hertfordshire UK,I've given up trying to restore my Yl1 because i can find absolutly no parts whatsoever, so now have brought a TZR 250 in one piece(m'be from a member on here),so now waiting for the weekend to take the long trek north to Glasgow to pick it up.
I'm getting on a bit now as my last bike on the road was a GPZ 750 Turbo.
Looks like a great site you have here,I look foward to seeing much more of you

Hi Guys  ;D

I just stumbled upon this site by fluke after I finally managed to source my very own TZR. I've had an RZ350 and just sold off my DRZ super-moto. It was fun my true calling was a light weight two stroke buzzer. I bought a 91 3XV not too long ago and have been reading here ever since. Parts seem to fun eh? I kinda like the challenge.

It's been sitting for over 4 years in Canada and who knows how long in Japan. Carbs are off, tank is getting cleaned, tires, brakes and all the essentials getting done as you read this. I rode it for two minutes and instantly loved it!

I'm glad you guys started this forum and I hope to get aquainted with some of you.

BTW, I'm in Vancouver, B.C. where it's raining most of the time...

here's a pic

Welcome to the forum ;D

Nice bike you've got there, and the black colour scheme is quite rare as most are in the familiar white/red scheme :)
