I've been working on this bike for couple of weeks now because it required some maintenance. I have been racing in Alastaro circuit. This bike goes really fast. F-III is lightweight and fast racing bike.

Hi all.  I am from South Africa and i am very happy to have found this forum...

I want to buy a 1998 TZR250 3MA real soon, but i need some questions answer first...

1:  If there is only smoke coming from the one exhaust pipe, is there a problem?
2:  Where can i buy reliable spares for the bike at a good price?

I will be using the bike mostly to drive to work and back (about 70km's per day), but will also be using it for soem fun rides on a Sunday. I want to turn it into a bad ass machine, but i dont want to get screwed before i buy it...

I hope to hear from someone soon that can help me...

2MY

G'day boys! Does anyone know whether a 2MY-000258 made 12/86 is actually a 250cc?
I'm looking at one on Ebay Australia and something doesn't look right for it to be a 250! It's a rolling chassis only for sale but it looks more like a 125! It looks to skinny, but maybe that's just because the engine and pipes are missing. I can't view it either as it's in Tasmania. Any idea's would be appreciated. Is a 2MY Australian variant just a 2MA with lighting mods for Australia?

Yep a 2MY is a 2MA. I've seen this one as well, but it's getting a bit pricey for a rolling chassis for me  :o

Hi to all,
I am a French 2ma rider ( and 3CL TDR), and owner of one 250 TZR of 1988 (number 000111, exit of plant in 10).
I undertook his restoration, it is in nice state, but rolled a lot kilometre (47000 km, about 29200 miles).
I read since a moment here and I am happy to see you liking these small machines living.   :D
I hope to make it run on circuit next week ...

Sorry for my bad english, i make my best.

Good road to all!!!

Cheer.

Been lurking for some time and now that I have my tzr thought that I'd say hi.
Have all the fairings, but they need some work.

Here's my tzr250 2ma behind my yammagamma.
Feels like a bigger bike than the yammagamma and more planted.

Hi guys,
I have about 3/4's of the parts to complete a 3MA and those parts have been obtained from Australia,UK,NZ and the USA. I have a frame,s/a,motor,pipes,CDi,coil,clutch lever assembly,servo,carbs,S/A, rear sub frame, fairing, airbox, air tube, clocks, headlight, front frame, rear frame, rear wheel. Total cost of parts to date A$1500 or 900 quid! It will be a challenge of course! The front end may have to be a FZR or similar.
.
I will need the following parts and any help would be appreciated:

complete wiring loom(S'pore ebay new $250+p!)
front wheel
brakes...front/rear/master cylinders/lever/pedel
forks
yokes
radiator

................any help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks

Hey Dan,

If the frame doesn't have a Australian compliance plate forget it, unless you plan on riding the bike on the track only. You will never get it registered.
If the frame is Aust complianced you would be better off buying a complete 3MA from Japan and doing a frame swap. Since you need quite a few parts and sourcing them from eBay will cost you more than importing a bike from Japan.

Hey Froos,

Good to have you on board  ;D Your site has some interesting TZR info on it. You should post up a link to it.

OK Ash33, thanks for your help. Do you have a contact or supplier in Japan?
